2012 FALL EVENT

Our annual Fall Event is the Foundation's primary fund-raising event. Each year we gather for dinner with our friends, supporters, and members of the law enforcement community to celebrate our successes and raise money for the County's law enforcement agencies. From the spirited bidding at our cocktail auction, to the live music and dancing that lasts late into the night, the Fall Event proves every year that raising money for a good cause can be both entertaining and rewarding. Please plan to join us.

Tour of the Sheriff's Emergency Services Division

On June 14, 2011, members and guests of the Foundation were given a tour of the San Diego Sheriff's Emergency Services Division. This event was was held at Gillespie Field and hosted by Captain Todd Frank, commander of the division. The tour included SWAT, ASTREA (Helicopter unit), Bomb and Arson, Search, and Rescue, and the Emergency Planning Detail. It was a very informative and interesting evening. See photos

The Foundation is currently planning a repeat tour of the Regional Law Enforcement Academy to be held some time this Fall. Date and time will be announced at a later date.

SDCLEF - Raising Money For Good Causes

Providing protection and safety for our families against violence, crime and law breaking citizens is the responsibility of our sheriffs and police officers. Sometimes their ability to do their job efficiently is hindered by lack of proper equipment or training within their department, which is usually the result of budgetary constraints.

The San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation has funded many different programs and underwritten the cost of new equipment for San Diego County Police and Sheriff’s Departments so that these public servants can perform their jobs safely and efficiently. Please see our Scholarships/Grants section for more information.
